Title: Developing knowledge and competencies of students and teachers of VŠE in the field of project management and its certification

Project focus: Preparation and introduction of new degree programs in full-time, distance or combined form. Secondary, development and innovation of study programmes in presence, distance or combined form of study.
Description: Project purpose is to prepare VŠE graduates to use Project teams, Project control companies and to provide them with useful skills in general. This will be realized by improving the management of project teaching.
Project focuses on the hard techniques (planning, data analysis, risk management, etc.) and soft skills (i.e. teamwork, presentation skills, negotiation, etc.) typically taught in separate courses.
The main target group are students from all fields of study at VŠE, especially Business Administration and Management and Arts Management at the Faculty of Business Administration in presence, distance and combined forms.
Students will gain an internationally recognized certification and the Project will be supported establishing direct contacts with the practice in order to find a specific job.
The second target group are current and new teachers. They will receive training in internationally accepted methodologies and fold intensive international certification, which will later also be offered to students.
Project is original with its focus on immediate practical applicability of students in the current market conditions and the strong development of the quality of teachers and students endorsed the international certification and accreditation of the program.

Title: Development and promotion of training for young researchers of the Faculty of Business Administration, VŠE in Prague

Implementer: Faculty of business Administration VŠE in Prague, Department of Management
Description: At present, young researchers are exposed to the requirements of publishing activities, actuality of information in teaching, but also the need to seek financial security for their families.
This project responds to these aspects and will enable young researchers improve their methods of scientific work, funding for science and building scientific careers.
Benefit will be also the development of sustainability science at the Faculty of Business Administration at VŠE in Prague and increase the competitiveness of young scientific researchers.
The project reflects the needs of young researchers for another successful career. There are still large gaps in the management of their scientific work and careers. The project will help increase competitiveness, education and research capabilities, but also increases the stability of these officers.
Innovation of the project lies in a complex education. Participants will gain the necessary skills and abilities to increase professionalism in the preparation and management of research projects, research activities and publication of their work.
The main target group are young scientific researchers at the Faculty of Business Administration and the entire VŠE.

Name: Active vocational learning in project management for trainers

Project partners are the Faculty of Business, Prague University of Economics and Business, Department of Management; Slovak consulting company IPA Slovakia; the French Ecole Superieure des Sciences Commerciales d’Angers and the Finnish Laurea University of Applied Sciencesurea Ammattikorkeakoulu. The project coordinator is the Czech company Wisdoma, Ltd.
Description:
The project focuses on innovations of education in the area of project management in SMEs and NGOs by training trainers, creating new simulations and other outputs. It reflects unsatisfactory success rates of projects caused among other factors by low knowledge of project management as proved by many studies.
The project aims to improve the quality of education in project management. This will be achieved through training of trainers and creation of new teaching modules that will be individually based on each participant organization’s experiences in the area of project management and satisfying target group’s needs.
Innovativeness of this project consists in choosing active form of education, which is significantly more successful than purely theoretical one. Unlike most of existing project management courses, students will have more possibilities to try out the practical tasks of project management in many simulations, games and activities. Trainers are involved in this project so they can try the activities themselves and then utilize them in their teaching. Acquired knowledge will be transferable to the training in other areas.

Title: Certification and intensify IT knowledge of students and teachers from VŠE

Project focus: Further training of teachers and academics; and development and improvement of degree programs at universities and higher educational institutions
Description: The aim of the project is to intensify the knowledge in the field of IT for students from non informatics fields at VŠE in Prague, at the level required in the labour market.
The target group is students at VŠE, who got the updated Applied Informatics courses, new advanced courses and support for the self-selected topics. Benefits will also been received by all courses in foreign language (English), so the students will also improve their knowledge professional language.
Secondary target group is doctoral students and lecturers of managerial informatics courses at VŠE. Thanks to the courses, teaching skills will improve their quality of teaching through professional courses and their expertise. This will extend the number of teachers and thereby increase capacity to satisfy demand for long-term courses of this type by the students.
An important motivating factor is the possibility of obtaining international certification from Microsoft, which clearly communicates the skills of graduates to their future employers and will encourage students to successfully complete the challenging courses.
