Comprehensive Academic Study Abroad Programme
What started in 2015 as an impromptu request from a Canadian university to host a study tour has burgeoned into an international offering sponsored by the Cross-Cultural Management Centre in collaboration with the Department of Management. Highly favourable recommendations over the years produced interest from other colleges and universities in Canada, the Commonwealth as well as the United States. One American professor wrote to share that the programme certificate assisted one student to secure an internship with the United Nations in New York. However, institutions surveyed seek a more structured academic curriculum coupled with excursions. To accommodate this demand, a 3-ECTS course entitled, 3MA810 – Business and Management in the Czech Republic is now available. Morning sessions are dedicated to Czech business, management, and other topics of interest whereas, the afternoon sessions complement though field trips, site visits, and guest speakers associated with the topic. Tuition covers all costs related to the content. Depending on the educational institution, the course may be offered stand-alone or adjunct to their existing prospectus.
In collaboration with the Faculty’s Executive Education division, a similar programme has been developed in partnership with various Czech institutions and Chambers of Commerce destined to the expat or out-of-country inductee.
